Doctors Integrated International Model United Nations DIIMUN 2025

Together with Dr. Ricky Mahadevan, I spearheaded and organized DIIMUN 2025 (Doctors Integrated International Model United Nations) in collaboration with Esperanza 4.0. The event, hosted at Government Homoeopathic Medical College, Trivandrum, ran from November 4-6, 2025.

We launched this to provide a global platform for students and young professionals to explore diplomacy, international relations, and policy-making through high-quality debate and discussion centered around global health.

The Committees and Agenda

The core of DIIMUN was broken into focused discussion streams:

1. The Assembly of Homoeopathy

Exclusive to homoeopathic discourse, this committee challenged teams with a very practical contemporary issue: "Homoeopathy in the modern era of advance drug research and fast-paced lifestyle."

2. International Press

For those with a penchant for documentation and critique, the International Press Corps handled the fast-paced reporting of the assembly sessions, fostering both photography and editorial excellence among the medical delegates.

A Grand Success

Organizing DIIMUN was a colossal undertaking. From vetting registrations nationwide and establishing the core rules of procedure, to organizing a 3-day free communication and debating preparatory course for all participants, we poured immense effort into making sure delegates were well-equipped before the opening ceremony.

Despite the fact that I couldn't attend other general events at Esperanza 2K25 due to these heavy organizational commitments (though I made time to present my own paper), the success of the MUN floor made every sleepless night worth it. Watching medical professionals engage as diplomats of health policy was a resounding victory for interdisciplinary growth.
