Visualizer: PSYQUI - Mend your ways

This is where it all started. "Mend Your Ways" was my first attempt at making After Effects listen to music.

The First Code

Before this, I thought you just dragged a "Visualizer" effect onto a layer. I was wrong. I had to learn Expressions (JavaScript for After Effects).

• The Bass Link: I wrote a script to isolate the < 200Hz frequencies and link them to the scale of the character.
• The Giggle: The result? The character appears to "giggle" or bounce exactly when the kick drum hits.

It was rough, it was jittery, but it was alive.
