Medicine Carton Design

About This Piece
This was my first time stepping out of the 2D screen and into the 3D world of packaging.
The Challenge: Thinking in Folds
Designing a medicine carton isn't just about making it look good; it's about making it fit. I had to mentally unfold the box, understanding how Flap A meets Slot B, and ensuring the text wouldn't be upside down when the box was assembled.
The Tool: Inkscape for Precision
People assume you need expensive CAD software for packaging. I used Inkscape.
- Die-Cut Lines: Created precise guide layers for cutting and folding.
- Mockup: Visualized the final 3D form to ensure alignment.
It was a puzzle of geometry and branding, solved with free software.
