Abstract Vector Background

This abstract vector background was created for the FOCAL (Free and Open-source Creative Art Library) project during the FOSSEE Summer Fellowship 2020.

The Objective

To create a versatile, scalable abstract background suitable for wallpapers, presentations, or web banners using standard vector tools.

• Tool Used: Inkscape (v0.92.4).

The Design

The design utilizes geometric shapes, gradients, and transparency effects to create depth and visual interest without being distracting.

• Vector Construction: Created entirely with bezier curves and shape tools in Inkscape.
• Gradients: Extensive use of linear and radial gradients to create smooth color transitions and lighting effects.
• Scalability: Being vector-based, this background can be scaled to any resolution (from mobile screens to large billboards) without loss of quality.
